Some of My Favorite Voyager Quotes...
"Hunters"

B'Elanna to Harry in Astrometrics, talking about Seven--
B'Elanna:  "Hi."
Harry:  "Hi.  I thought Seven was working in here."
B'Elanna:  "She's gone with Tuvok to short the station's confinment field.  I've taken over for her.  Disappointed?"
Harry:  "Of course not.  Won't you stop that?  I've told you , there's nothing between us."
B'Elanna:  "I know there's nothing between you, it's purely a one way attraction.
Harry:  "Very funny."
B'Elanna:  "Harry you might as well wear a big sign that says 'I'm in love,' everyone sees it."
Harry:  "[This is where my tape gets messed up]...very attractive woman, but I've gotten over that."
B'Elanna:  "Oh-kay!"
Harry:  "Fine!  Believe whatever you want."

Tom and B'Elanna in Astrometrics, talking about the Maquis and Tom's father--
B'Elanna:  "Some more has come through.  From an Admiral Owen?  Do you know him?"
Tom:  [stopping in mid-stride right before the door]  "Admiral Owen Paris.  He's my father."
B'Elanna:  "That's wonderful."
Tom:  "Maybe.  I don't know exactly why, but the more that everybody gets excited about these letters from home, the more I don't want to be a part of it.  Maybe because, what I have on Voyager, is so much better than anything I ever had back there.  I just don't want the reminder."
B'Elanna:  "You're not the same person you were four years ago.  What makes you think he is?"
Tom:  "No.  You don't know him."
B'Elanna:  "At least give him a chance.  He's obviously reaching out."
Tom:  "When he forms an opinion about something, nothing can change his mind."
B'Elanna  "Fine.  Excuse me if I can't feel terribly sorry for you.  I learned this morning that a lot of my friends are dead.  And I've gone from being so angry I wanted to kill someone, to crying for an hour, and now I'm just trying to--to accept it and move on.
Tom:  [coming over and giving B'Elanna a hug that makes the P/T Teens sigh so much it causes a climate change] "B'Elanna, that's awful.  I am so sorry.  And here I am going on about something that doesn't even matter anymore."
B'Elanna:  [hugging back and teenagers cause another climate change]  "No I'm sorry.  It obviously does.  Do you care what he thinks about you?"
Tom:  "Yeah.  Yeah, I guess I still do."
B'Elanna:  "I'll let you know when I get the whole letter."

Chakotay and Kathryn in her Ready Room talking about coffee--
Chakotay:  "Repair teams have inspected the ship from stem to stern.  Except for some matience that's needed on the warp coils everything seems fine."
Kathryn:  "I suppose so.  Want some coffee?"
Chakotay:  "Thanks."
Kathryn:  "Cream and sugar, hmm?"
Chakotay:  "Two sugars."
Kathryn:   "Oh, Two sugars?!"
Chakotay:  "You know you drink too much of that stuff."
Kathryn:  "Really?"
Chakotay:  "If I'm not mistaken that's your third cup this morning."
Kathryn:  "Fourth.  And on a day like today it won't be my last.  Coffee.  The finest organic suspension ever devised.  It's gotten me through the worst of the last three years.  I beat the Borg with it."

"Retrospect"

The HoloDoc and Janeway in her Ready Room--
HoloDoc:  "I've isolated the algorthyms responsible for my desire to expand beyond my original programing.  I want to delete them."
Kathryn:  "Why?"
HoloDoc:  "It was my urge to experiment; my infatuation with improving myself that led to this tradgedy.  I fancied myself a pscychologist, a ship's conselor.  But I wasn't prepared for the complexities that come with such a responsibility.  In my enthusiam to help Seven of Nine, I lost my medical objectivity.  I became a self-righteous advocate; I didn't stop to think for one second  I might be wroing.  That musn't happen again."
Kathryn: "You want to go back to the state you were in when we first activated you?"
Holodoc--:  "I'll still be capable of treating any and all medical conditions; but without the risk of overstepping my bounds.  It's for the best Captain."
Kathryn:  "No, I'm not so sure.  This crew has benefitted greatly from your improvments over the years.  Request denied."
HoloDoc:  "Captain?!"
Kathryn:  "I won't turn back the clock because of one mistake, no matter how serious.  And no matter how you might feel."
HoloDoc:  "I'm a physican.  I'm supposed to preserve life; not destroy it.  I can't live with the thought--that I might do it again."
Kathryn:   "With any luck, that knowledge might prevent it from happening again."
